Freelancing jobs with work from home set-up has been an in-demand job recently due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, employers and business owners are forced to turn online and outsource employees to keep their business running amidst the pandemic. 

Some of the most popular freelancing sites in the Philippines right now is Upwork, Onlinejobs.ph, Fiverr, Contra, and Freelancing.com, just to mention a few. However, the problem with these sites is that there is no guaranteed job. Additionally, you have to build your portfolio, submit a proposal to different job offers, and just pray. Also while competing against experienced and star-rated freelancers that got into the industry a little bit earlier than you.


Minimum Requirements


First, let’s be honest. Most of the influencers and sites out there tell you that you don’t need to have a laptop or computer, and be English proficient to start. As a matter of fact, you do! Freelancing clients involve people from abroad. To be able to communicate properly, of course you have to be fluent in English. Lastly, scholastic standing is a must!

First, it involves a language test to test you English proficiency. And then the submission of three manuscripts in APA format on your chosen categories. Plagiarism is not allowed. You can be a transcriptionist at Transcribeme.com. The average pay is $15 per hour and an earning potential of up to $2200 per month. The application process involves, first, the study of the site’s transcription guidelines and rules. Then applying these in their English entrance exam. Another transcription site is Gotranscript.com. Transcription is the process of converting speech from an audio file into written text. All you have to do is listen to the audio and type the words spoken as accurate as you can. The average pay is $0.60 per minute of audio and an earning potential o up to $1215 monthly. These are the five freelancing non-voice jobs that you can start with even without a portfolio and experience. More importantly, the pay is still competitive. In addition to that, the job is not demanding. By taking any of the job opportunities mentioned above, you can absolutely work anytime you want. As long as you submit a project before its due date when you claim one. Furthermore, there is no quota or minimum hours. Freelancing is the new way to financial freedom. 

Office jobs in the Philippines, or any other job for that matter, are typically overloaded. Additionally, there is very low compensation.
