A headboard is not cheap! Sometimes the beds we get doesn’t really come with a headboard either. This is where we must get creative and create our own. In my case, this is how I did it. Follow along in the instructions below!
Materials:
Cardboard Boxes
Insulator Foam
Fabric of choice
Staple Gun
Packing Tape
Glue
Steps:
- Measure your dimensions and build your cardboard box base accordingly. Use as much tape as needed to make it stable and sturdy enough.

In my case, I taped multiple cardboard boxes together according to the dimensions I needed and stuck two layers together to make it more sturdy.
2. Spread Glue on one surface of your base and attach Insulator Foam, covering one side. Let dry.

3. Cover the foamed surface with a fabric (washed and ironed) of your choice. Attach it using staple gun from behind.

Tip: Staple the fabric first on opposing sides to make sure the fabric is well laid out on the front. You might need help in doing so.
Voila! You’re done! Attach your headboard to the wall with a velcro tape or double sided tape and you’re good to go.
