White Rain Volumizing Mousse is one of the cheapest available Hair Mousse out in the market. It is also readily sold and available here in the Philippines. I bought mine at Watson’s for only less than two hundred pesos.

My thoughts:
If you are living in a budget, but still wans to get that salon touch up kind of vibe, this is the right product for you.
1. Gives volume. True to its promise, it helps volumize pin straight hair like mine. My normal hair is stressfully wavy and unmanageable so I decided to have it rebonded. Unfortunately though, it looked so lifeless and flat and boring and oh god how I hated it. So that’s when I started to scout for remedies, which led me to this product. Since it was my first time, I opted for the cheapest find, and I wasn’t disappointed.
2. Holds style. One time, my sister took our blow-dryer with her on a trip and I was left with a curling iron to style myself with for an event. Unfortunately, we do not own a hairspray at home so I tried lathering my hair with White Rain® Active Botanicals volumizing mousse instead. To my surprise, my curls held up the whole night without the sticky texture and irritating smell a hairspray would give. I was also saved from all the hassle of detangling hardened clumps of hair. I was so amazed.
3. Decent product volume. Each container has 5oz . I bought mine around the first week of August and it lasted until the first week of November. I dispense an egg-sized amount on my palm and do this approximately four times in a week. I have medium hair and it lasted me for about three months. Not bad for a 200-peso bottle.
4. No post-application peeves. The product has minimal fragrance and your shampoo scent will still prevail, which is good. Also, the application of the product feels lightweight on the hair, it doesn’t clump, texturized, harden, or mess up your hair’s natural flow. It dries out leaving your hair as soft as its original state.
How I do it:
Step 1: My morning routine includes washing my hair with volumizing shampoo and conditioner. I use Dove Oxygen & Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner.
Step 2: Towel dry your hair and apply egg-sized amount of White Rain® Active Botanicals volumizing mousse, concentrating on the roots.
Step 3: Blowdry your hair using a roller hairbrush (the circular brush), rolling it inwards or towards your face as you dry your hair. With this method, I achieve maximum volume. Do that until your hair completely dries, and you’re done!
This process takes me about 30mins. When I’m in a hurry, I just lather the mousse and let my hair air dry as I go out doing my stuff. When it’s damp to nearly dry, I tie my hair in a low bun for about an hour or two and then take it off. This method gives me the same volume I get when blowdrying, and additional hair waves (which are cute, btw).
